NDP Ethics critic responds to Commissioner’s finding that PC MPP broke Integrity Act

ESSEX — NDP Ethics and Accountability critic Taras Natyshak (Essex) issued the following statement in response to Integrity Commissioner J. David Wake’s decision that PC MPP Vijay Thanigasalam (Scarborough—Rouge Park) violated parliamentary conventions under the Members’ Integrity Act by using public resources for partisan promotion:

“We thank the Integrity Commissioner for confirming that PC MPP Vijay Thanigasalam broke the rules and misused public dollars to attempt to score partisan points for his party. Ontarians are tired of the Ford PCs playing fast-and-loose with public dollars when they think they can boost their own prospects. The Ford Conservatives should follow the rules that every party has to follow.”
