New OMA poll says hallway healthcare is worse than ever under Ford

Marit Stiles’ NDP is on your side to fix healthcare

TORONTO – Today’s new Ontario Medical Association poll shows Doug Ford failed to deliver on his promise to fix the Liberal legacy of hallway health care.

The scathing report from the OMA shows that 68% of Ontarians say that the health care system is worse than it was a year ago, 83% say that wait times for surgeries and specialists have worsened, and nearly 60% of Ontarians say that Ford has failed to fix hallway health care.

Marit Stiles and the Ontario NDP’s Family Health Guarantee will tackle the crisis head-on by connecting every single Ontarian to a family doctor.

As Premier, Stiles will:

  • Recruit and support 3,500 new doctors.
  • Invest $4.05 billion over four years to hire doctors and guarantee reliable health care for Ontarians
  • Cut red tape so doctors spend more time with patients, not paperwork.
  • Fast-track solutions in the first 100 days—more family health teams, shorter specialist wait times, and flexible care options.
  • Clear the path for 13,000 internationally trained doctors ready to serve Ontarians and we’ll increase residency spots province-wide.

By the end of their term, Liberals left 1.8 million Ontarians without a family doctor. Doug Ford promised to end the Liberal legacy of hallway health care, but after 7 years he’s only made it worse.

It’s time for an NDP premier, who is on your side with real solutions to fix health care.
